About Ikkyosai

Ikkyosai takes place every November at the Kunitachi Campus of Hitotsubashi University. The tranquil and serene campus of learning is turned into a vibrant area during the three days of the festival!

The 54th Ikkyosai will be held on the following dates:

● Fri. Nov. 24th, 2023 10AM - 5PM
● Sat. Nov. 25th, 2023 10AM - 5PM
● Sun. Nov. 26th, 2023 10AM - 4PM
※Notes: Food booths will be closed 30 minutes before the closing time.

The 54th Ikkyosai will be held face-to-face without any entrance restriction. Anyone can enjoy the festival as no reservation is needed. This year, we will offer programmes that provide food and drink, such as a food booth or an indoor-cafe.

For those coming by bicycle

Bicycles are allowed, but there is limited space in the bicycle parking lot.

For those coming by car

General visitors are not allowed to enter the campus by car. Please park in the parking lot outside the university or use public transportation.

Important Notes

Entry by bicycles and cars

No cars are allowed to enter the campus. Please park in the parking lot outside the university campus or use public transportation.
Bicycles are allowed, but bicycle parking space is limited.

Prohibition of bringing pets

From the standpoint of university sanitation, pets are not allowed on the campus, except for guide dogs, hearing dogs, and service dogs. Pets in cases are also not allowed on the campus.

Prohibition of bringing alcohol

Entering the university campus under the influence of alcohol, bringing alcoholic beverages onto the university campus, and drinking on the university campus are prohibited. If you do not comply, you will be asked to leave the campus. We ask for your understanding and cooperation.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited on campus except in designated smoking areas, which is located next to Administrasion Building(Houjinn Hombutou/法人本部棟). Please refer to the campus map for detailed locations.

Restricted Areas

During the Ikkyosai, there are areas where no one is allowed to enter except for university personnel and the Ikkyosai Steering Committee. There are signs posted in these areas.

In the case of heavy rain

In the case of heavy rain, there may be changes to the content and time of stage, field programmes and food booths.
【Stage Programme】
Stage programmes on the outdoor stages (Kanematsu-Mae Stage and Houjin-Hombutou-Mae Stage) will be either continued, cancelled or moved to the Gymnasium Stage (Taiikukan Stage) on the East Campus. Please check the Ikkyosai official website and official SNS for information about possible transfers to the Gymnasium Stage and the timetable.
【Field Programme】
Some programmes may be cancelled in the case of rain.
【Food booths】
In the case of heavy rain, the closing time of the food booths may be brought forward by 30 minutes on the last day, which means that those booths may close at 15:00 on 26 Nov (Sun).

FAQ
Q. How can I get the official Ikkyosai Pamphlet?
A. Pamphlets are available at the Information Desk in front of the West Main Gate(Nishi-Seimommae An’naijo/西正門前案内所). Due to the limited number of copies available, only one copy per group will be distributed.
Q. Is there any barrier-free guide such as a nursing room or slope for disabled visitors?
A. “Accessibility Map" is distributed in Ikkyosai. Please come to the Information Desk in front of the Main Building(Honkanmae An’naijo/本館前案内所) or the West Main Gate(Nishi-Seimommae An’naijo/西正門前案内所). You can also download a PDF file from the Hitotsubashi University web page, available in both Japanese and English.
Q. Where can I get(/bring) lost(/found) items on the campus?
A. Lost and found items will be kept at the Headquarters (Hombu/本部) of each campus during the day. If you have lost something or have picked it up, please come and bring it to the Headquarters (Hombu/本部) of each campus. In addition, from the day after the items are picked up, all such items will be kept at the West Headquarters ( Nishi-Hombu/西本部). After the Ikkyosai, the items will be kept by our committee for about two weeks, after which they will be handed over to the Student Support Division(Gakusei Shiennka/学生支援課). If you have any questions about lost and found items after the Ikkyosai, please contact: info@ikkyosai.com.
Q. What should I do if I/my companion get lost?
A. Please come to the West Headquarters (Nishi-Hombu/西本部). We will call you and your companion through the announcement.
Q. Can I leave my baggage somewhere?
A. There is no cloakroom/locker for baggage storage. Please manage your baggage at your own risk.
